Notable Milestones

"Emilia Pérez" made history as the first nonEnglishlanguage film to receive 13 Oscar nominations, breaking the previous record held by "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (10 nominations) and "Roma" (10 Nominations).

Ariana Grande became the first nominee in the "Best Supporting Actress" category for her role as Glinda in the musical fantasy film "Wicked", which also earned nominations for Best Actress (Cynthia Erivo), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.
